Calendly charges per seat, so each person who takes bookings needs a licence. The free plan gives you one event type and one connected calendar. Standard opens unlimited event types, reminders and Stripe or PayPal payments, and Teams adds round-robin booking, routing forms and a Salesforce connection. New accounts start on a 14-day trial of paid features and fall back to the free plan afterwards with no charge.

Calendly lets you share a booking link so people pick a time that fits your calendar, with no back-and-forth emails. Most clients have used it before, so nobody needs instructions. ### Is one event type on the free plan enough for a consultant?

It works if you offer a single meeting, such as a 30-minute intro call. A second option, like a paid two-hour session, needs Standard. The free plan also connects only one calendar, so a work and a personal Google calendar can't both block your availability. Most solo consultants upgrade once they sell more than one kind of session.

### Do I get charged when the Calendly trial ends?

No. Calendly moves the account to the free plan on its own after the 14 days, unless you entered payment details and chose a plan. Paid features such as automations and extra users switch off at that point. Your booking link keeps working with one event type.

### Do I need Teams to share bookings across my staff?

Round-robin scheduling, which spreads bookings across colleagues, sits on Teams and above. Standard covers each person running their own calendar and links. Standard costs USD 10 and Teams USD 16 per seat a month on monthly billing. Pay for Teams if you want one link that rotates meetings between people.

### Can clients pay for a session when they book?

Yes, from Standard upwards Calendly collects payment through Stripe or PayPal at the moment of booking. The free plan has no payment collection. You connect your own Stripe or PayPal account, and the money goes there. That suits coaches and tutors who want the session paid before it starts.

### How much does annual billing save on Calendly?

The pricing page shows up to 20% off on Teams and about 17% on Standard when you pay yearly. You pay for every seat up front for the full year. Enterprise starts at USD 15,000 a year with a minimum of 50 seats, so it rarely fits a small business. Stay monthly while your headcount is still changing.
