Cloudflare prices its website plans per domain: Free, Pro, Business and a quoted Enterprise tier. Subdomains cost nothing extra, but each root domain you upgrade is billed on its own. Developer products such as Workers and R2 run on usage pricing with a free daily allowance. The startup programme gives young, product-building companies credits for those usage products, in tiers set by how much funding they have raised.

Cloudflare puts your website behind its global network, with DNS, CDN caching, DDoS protection and SSL. Developers can also run code and store data at the edge with Workers, Pages and R2. A free plan covers most small sites. It suits anyone who wants a faster, protected site without managing servers.

### If I run two shops on separate domains, do I pay for Pro twice?

Yes, Cloudflare bills each domain separately. Pro on two domains means two Pro charges, while subdomains under one domain add nothing. Cloudflare's own billing FAQ gives the example of two domains on Pro costing $40 a month in total.

### How far does the free Workers allowance go?

Workers on the free tier handles 100,000 requests a day with 10ms of CPU time per request. Paid usage costs $0.30 per million requests plus $0.02 per million CPU milliseconds. R2 storage includes 10GB a month free, and Workers KV gives you 1GB.

### Our startup has no outside funding. Can we still get Cloudflare credits?

Bootstrapped companies that have raised under $1M qualify for the $10,000 tier. The $100,000 and $350,000 tiers need funding from one of Cloudflare's partner investors. You also need a live website, a public LinkedIn, X or GitHub presence, and a business email on your own domain.

### What can I spend the startup credits on?

The credits cover usage products: Workers, Durable Objects, Pages, Stream, R2 up to $10,000 and Workers AI up to a cap per tier. AI Gateway is not covered for now, and domain registration is excluded. Magic Transit and Spectrum need a separate contract.

### What happens when the year of credits runs out?

Credits last one year or until you spend them, whichever comes first, and Cloudflare does not extend them. After that you move to a self-serve paid plan or drop back to the free tier. Plan for the switch before month twelve so your bill does not surprise you.
