Fatture in Cloud vs Aruba: Italian e-invoicing
Aruba Fatturazione Elettronica is the pick if you send a handful of invoices and want SDI compliance for a small yearly fee, with legal archiving included. Fatture in Cloud costs more, from €12 a month, but it also tracks payments, costs and cash flow and shares your figures with your commercialista. If you invoice every week or hand your books to an accountant, that extra is worth paying for.
Which one to pick
You invoice often, want to see who has paid and what you spend, and your commercialista needs direct access to your data. Mobile apps let you invoice away from the desk.
You are a forfettario or small firm issuing a modest number of invoices and want the cheapest compliant way to send, receive and store them through the SDI.

Questions
How do the prices compare?
Fatture in Cloud starts at €12 a month. Aruba charges a small yearly fee, and we do not quote its exact amount here because it depends on the plan you pick on Aruba's site. Neither offers a free plan. For low invoice volumes, Aruba's yearly fee works out cheaper.
Do both send and receive invoices through the SDI?
Yes. Fatture in Cloud signs and sends to the SDI, receives with its own recipient code M5UXCR1 and stores invoices for 10 years. Aruba sends B2B, B2C and public sector invoices, receives them through your codice destinatario and archives them as the law requires. Both cover the e-invoicing obligation.
I'm a forfettario: do I need either of them?
Since 1 January 2024 every forfettario must issue electronic invoices through the SDI, whatever the revenue. So you need software that talks to the SDI, and both qualify. If you send a few invoices a month, Aruba covers the rule at the lowest cost. Fatture in Cloud makes sense once you also want to track payments and costs.
Can I move from Aruba to Fatture in Cloud later?
Yes. You set Fatture in Cloud's recipient code as your codice destinatario on the Agenzia delle Entrate portal, and new invoices arrive there. Keep access to Aruba's archive for the invoices already stored, since the law requires you to keep them. Your customer list can be rebuilt from past invoices.
Can I use them if I'm not Italian?
Both are built for the Italian market and the SDI, with the interface in Italian. They are the right tools if you hold a partita IVA in Italy, wherever you come from. If you invoice from another country, look for software made for your own tax system instead.
