1Password sells two home plans: Individual for one person and Families for up to five people, each with 1 GB of document storage per member. Both bill yearly, and the published monthly figure is that yearly price divided by twelve. New customers who buy on 1password.com can get a lower rate for the first twelve months. Business and enterprise plans are quoted by the sales team.

Do I need a card to start the 1Password trial?
No. The 14-day trial of Individual or Families starts with an email address and no credit card. You add a payment method when you decide to keep the account. In the US, 1Password also accepts ACH direct debit next to cards.
What does Families add over Individual?
Families covers up to five people, each with their own private vault and 1 GB of storage. You get shared vaults for logins the household uses together, plus guest accounts for someone who needs one or two items. An organiser can recover a locked-out member's account and manage who sees what.
What happens to the price after the first year?
The new-customer rate on 1password.com covers the first twelve months of yearly billing. After that, the plan renews at the standard rate shown on the pricing page, which 1Password lists as USD 3.99 a month for Individual and USD 5.99 for Families, billed yearly. Check your renewal date in your account settings if you want to plan for it.
Is there a free version of 1Password?
1Password has no free plan for personal use. The 14-day trial is the free way to test autofill, Watchtower alerts and passkeys on your devices. When the trial ends you choose a paid plan to keep access to your vaults.
Can my company use the personal plans?
Individual and Families are built for personal and household use. For a team that needs admin roles, reporting and access policies, 1Password sells business plans with pricing that its sales team quotes for your organisation. Ask for a quote on 1password.com before you move shared work logins into a Families account.
