Miro charges per member, the people who edit boards, while guests and visitors with a public link don't take a paid seat. The Free plan keeps three editable boards, which is enough to try a workshop but not to run a team's ongoing work. Starter and Business are billed per member per month, with 20% off for yearly billing, and Enterprise needs at least 30 members. Startups apply to Miro's startup programme: early teams get free credits and scale-ups up to 25% off.

Questions
What happens on Miro Free when I need a fourth board?
The Free plan caps you at three editable boards. You can archive or delete an old board to free a slot, or upgrade to Starter for unlimited boards. Starter is billed per member, and a yearly plan takes 20% off the monthly rate.
Do clients I invite to a Miro board need a paid seat?
No, guests and visitors don't use paid seats. A guest has a free Miro account with limited access to the boards you share, and a visitor opens a board through a public link without signing up. Only members, who get full access to your workspace, count on your bill.
How does Miro bill when I add or remove members mid-year?
Miro prorates a member you add during the billing cycle, so you pay only for the time left. Removing a member takes effect at renewal, not straight away. Plan your headcount before the yearly renewal if you expect people to leave.
Which startups can join Miro's startup programme?
Miro runs one programme with two levels. Early-stage startups get free credits towards a paid plan, and scale-ups can get up to 25% off. You fill in an application on Miro's startups page and Miro checks eligibility before the offer applies.
Starter or Business: what does Starter leave out?
Starter gives unlimited boards and 25 AI credits per member each month. Business adds unlimited workspaces, 50 AI credits per member and the controls larger teams use, and Miro offers a trial of it. If one team works in one space, Starter usually covers it.
