Toggl Track charges per user per month, with four plans: Free, Starter, Premium and Enterprise. The Free plan keeps manual and live timers plus calendar integrations, but caps a team at a handful of users and leaves out billable rates. Starter adds billable rates and team reports, while Premium brings profitability reports, fixed fee projects and timesheet approvals. Paying yearly takes a third off the monthly rate, which works out at four months free.

Questions

What people ask about Toggl Track.

Do I need a card to start the Toggl trial?

No. Toggl's pricing page says the 30-day trial needs no credit card at signup. You can test Starter or Premium features with your real projects during that month. If you don't pay at the end, the workspace drops back to the Free plan features.

How many people can track time on the Free plan?

The Free plan is meant for very small teams, and Toggl lists it for up to three users. Each person gets timers, the browser extension and calendar sync. Once a fourth person joins, you move to a paid plan billed per user.

What does Starter give me over Free?

Starter adds billable rates, so your reports show what each hour is worth to a client. It also adds team reports and the timeline view for planning. Toggl lists Starter at $9 per user per month on its site, billed in US dollars, with yearly billing cheaper.

Is Premium worth it for a small agency?

Premium makes sense when you sell fixed fee projects and want to see which ones lose money. It adds profitability reports, timesheet approvals and Jira or Asana integrations. Toggl lists it at $16 per user per month in US dollars, so a team of five pays about $80 a month before the yearly saving.

How much do I save by paying for a year?

Toggl's pricing page shows a saving of 33.3% on yearly billing for Starter and Premium. Toggl describes that as four months free compared with paying month by month. Run the 30-day trial first, then switch to yearly once the team count is settled, since you pay for every seat upfront.
