Help Scout charges per user per month, and each paid plan sets a ceiling on users and inboxes: Standard covers up to 25 users with 2 inboxes, Plus up to 50 with 5, and Pro starts at 10 users with 10 inboxes. The free plan gives 5 users one inbox and one Docs site with no card. Paid plans come with a 15-day trial, and paying yearly takes 16% off. Young tech startups can apply for six months of Plus at no cost.

The free plan stops at 5 users, 1 inbox and 1 Docs site. Live chat, SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger channels start on Standard, along with multiple inboxes. If your support runs through one shared email address and a small team, the free plan may cover you for a while.
Is every user on my team billed?
Yes, Help Scout prices Standard, Plus and Pro per user per month. Standard costs $25 per user and Plus $45 per user on Help Scout's pricing page, in USD. Pro costs $75 per user with a minimum of 10 users, so the smallest Pro bill already covers ten seats.
Who gets six months free through Help Scout for Startups?
The programme is for new customers only: an incorporated tech startup less than two years old with under $1 million in annual recurring revenue. You fill in a form on helpscout.com/startups with your revenue and business structure. Approved startups get the Plus plan free for six months.
How much do I save by paying for Help Scout yearly?
Help Scout takes 16% off its monthly per-user price when you pay for a year. On a team of eight on Plus, that difference is paid eight times a month. Try the 15-day trial on monthly terms first, then switch once you know how many seats you need.
Do AI Answers cost extra on top of my plan?
AI Answers is billed per resolution, at $0.75 each on Help Scout's pricing page. New accounts get a three-month free trial of it. You can set a monthly spending cap so a busy week doesn't produce a surprise bill.
