Questions
How does Intercom count a Fin outcome?
Intercom bills $0.99 per outcome, counted when a customer confirms Fin solved the problem, leaves without asking for more help, or Fin completes a workflow. This sits on top of your seat price. A busy help desk can spend more on outcomes than on seats, so watch the usage in your first month.
What does the Early Stage plan include?
It bundles two Advanced seats, two Copilot seats and 20 Lite seats, along with Proactive Support Plus for 500 messages a month and a year of Fin. The discount runs 93% in year one, 50% in year two and 25% in year three. The monthly Fin allowance shrinks with it, from 300 outcomes to 150 and then 75.
Who can join the Early Stage programme?
You need up to $10M in funding, fewer than 15 employees and no existing Intercom account. You apply through the signup form linked from the Early Stage page. Extra outcomes, phone, SMS and WhatsApp are billed at normal rates, even inside the programme.
Is Essential enough for a small support team?
Essential costs $29 per seat a month and covers one shared inbox with Fin. It lacks multiple team inboxes, the workflow builder, round robin assignment and a multilingual help centre. Teams that route conversations between people usually end up on Advanced at $85 per seat.
Do I need a card for the trial, and is there a contract?
The 14-day trial runs without a credit card. Self-serve plans need no contract, so you can stop paying when you stop using it. The Copilot add-on is cheaper on yearly billing, at $29 per agent against $35 monthly.
