Framer prices each site on its own plan, then adds a monthly fee for every person who edits. The Free plan publishes on a Framer domain with 1 GB of bandwidth, Basic adds your own domain and 2 CMS collections, and Pro raises the limits and adds staging and redirects. The startups programme covers the Pro plan for a year, and students can apply for a free year of Basic for a portfolio.

Questions

What people ask about Framer AI.

Why does my Framer bill have a site plan and editor seats?

Framer charges for two things. The site plan (Basic at $10 a month or Pro at $30, monthly prices in USD from Framer's site) covers the domain, pages, CMS and bandwidth. On top of that, each editor costs $20 a month and each content editor $10, while viewers who only comment are free.

Can I use my own domain on the Free plan?

No, the Free plan publishes on a Framer domain and caps bandwidth at 1 GB. Basic is the cheapest plan with a custom domain, which Framer includes at no extra cost. Basic also allows up to 10 seats, while Pro has no seat cap.

What do I get from the startups programme?

Framer's startups page offers the Pro plan free for the first year, which it values at $360. Pro gives you 10 CMS collections, 150 pages, 100 GB of bandwidth and a staging environment. You apply through the form on the startups page, and the page does not publish fixed criteria, so Framer decides case by case.

Is there a discount for students?

Students in a recognised school, college, university or online programme can apply for a free year of hosting, which Framer values at $120. It includes 1,000 AI credits a month. Framer aims to review applications within 5 working days, and you can reapply every 11 months while you study, but only as a new customer at checkout.

My Pro site is outgrowing its limits. Do I need Enterprise?

Not straight away, because Pro takes add-ons. Pages go from 150 up to 700 at $20 per extra 100, CMS items from 2,500 up to 40,000, and bandwidth up to 2 TB at $40 per extra 100 GB. Enterprise, priced on request, makes sense once you need unlimited editors or custom limits.
